Spring Season to Start for Men's Soccer

Fairfax, Va.--George Mason University's men's soccer team opens up the 2005 Spring season on April 1 against St. Francis (Pa.) at 7:30 p.m. and will face five other teams proceeding this contest.

Mason will first host St. Francis (Pa.) on the turf field on April 1 at 7:30 p.m. and then UMBC on April 8 (7:30 p.m.). The Patriots will then travel to Harrisonburg to face James Madison on April 10 at 3:30 p.m. and will return to Fairfax to compete in the Alumni game (April 16) at 1 p.m. on the soccer practice field. Mason will face West Virginia the following day at 3:30 p.m. on the practice field and will close out the Spring season in Philadelphia, Pa. at Temple on April 23 at 1:30 p.m.

The Patriots closed out the 2004 season with an overall record of 7-11-1 and a 3-6 mark in Colonial Athletic Association play to finish eighth in the conference.
