GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Furman volleyball team travels to Chattanooga this weekend to take on UNC Greensboro in the first round of the Southern Conference tournament.

The two teams meet in a rematch of last year's Southern Conference tournament, in which the Spartans upset the number-three seeded Paladins 3-0.

"We are very happy with the last few weeks of our season leading up to the tournament," commented head coach Michelle Young. "Last season we had a good win streak going, but this year we've had to work for it a little more, so I think we are better prepared. We are very excited about getting another chance at Greensboro and, after splitting with them during the regular season, we are ready to face them at the tournament."

Game time is set for 12:30 on Friday, November 16. If the Paladins win the quarterfinal match against the Spartans, they will face the winner of Appalachian State and Davidson in the semifinals on Saturday.
