Nashville, TN - The Furman men's tennis team came up empty handed over the weekend, dropping two matches to No.18 Vanderbilt 6-1 on Saturday and No.53 Middle Tennessee State 7-0 on Sunday. With the two losses the Paladins fall to 2-5, with Vanderbilt moving to 6-0 and Middle Tennesse State to 6-1.

The one bright spot for the Paladins came when they won two doubles matches over Vanderbilt, causing the Commodores to fall behind 1-0 for the first time this season. Ben Pauluhn and Greg Maarschalk downed Andy Mack and Ryan Preston 9-7 at No.2 and Furman's duo of Kevin Lackey and Scott Kahler defeated Matt Lockin and Jordan Magarik 9-8(4) in flight three.

The Paladins next travel to Atlanta on Saturday, February 19 to take on Georgia Tech at 1 PM.
