Paladin Golfers Tied For 12th at Windon Classic

LAKE FORREST, Ill. -

The Furman men's golf team fired a 305 Monday at Conway Farms Golf Club and is tied for 12th after the first round of the Windon Memorial Classic, hosted by Northwestern University.

Senior Rob Langley carded a 75 at the 6,849-yard, par 71 course and is tied for 29th in the individual standings. Senior Adam Resmini and sophomore Ben Goforth each recorded a first-round 76 and are tied for 43rd, while T.J. Blandford rounded out the Furman counters with a 78 and is tied for 59th. Junior Thomas Self fired an 86 and was the non-counter on the day.

Round two of the Windon Classic, which was called due to darkness on Monday, will be completed on Tuesday prior to the start of the third and final round.

The Tigers of LSU lead the Windon Memorial following a first-round 287, while Duke holds second at 291. Minnesota's Bronson LaCassie is atop the individual leaderboard with a round one 69.
