CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -
The Furman Paladin golf team carded a final round 315 to finish sixth in a field of 12 at the Andrea Brotto Cavalier Classic with a three-round 920 total.
Senior Rob Langley recorded a one-over 73 in the final round to tie with two others for third place, one stroke off the winning pace. In addition, Furman's T.J. Blandford finished 24th after a final-round 82 put him at 233 for the tourney, and Ben Goforth tied for 38th at 237 with rounds of 75-81-81 to his credit.
Freshman Chris Gilliland shot a final-round 79, but did not record an individual finish due to a disqualification in round two, and Shane Birckbichler was DQ'd in round three after shooting 79-80 in the first two rounds.
The Andrea Brotto Cavalier Classic was the final tournament of the 2004-05 season for the Paladin golf team.
