Furman's Paladin golf team fired a second-round 308 on Saturday to slide from fourth into 12th with one round left to play in the LSU Spring Invitational.
Rob Langley continued to pace the Paladin squad, firing a one-over 73 on Saturday to stand in a tie for 10th at 147. Chris Gilliland fired a second-round 77 and is tied for 18th at 149, while Ryan Potter carded an 80 and is tied for 54th at 153. Thomas Self's second round 78 put him at 155 and in a tie for 65th. Shane Birckbichler's 83 was Furman's non-counting score on Saturday, and leaves him in a tie for 76th with one round left to play.
The host Tigers of LSU lead the tournament at 582. The third and final round of the LSU Spring Invitational is slated for Sunday at the University Course in Baton Rouge, La.
