Newport, R.I. -- Furman's Garrett Scheider carded an even-par 72 second round to earn a share of 11th place after two rounds at The Adams Cup of Newport in Newport, R.I. Furman (304-302=606) holds 1th place after 36 holes.

Schneider imprved on a first round 76 to stand at four over par through 36 holes. Chris Gilliland (75-74=149) sits one stroke back in 15th entering the final round.

Host Rhode Island leads South Florida by one stroke after Tuesday's play. Southern Mississippi's Joel Myrick (71-69=140) holds the individual lead.

The final round of The Adams Cup of Newport tees off at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.
