Fleming Leads Diplomats to 28th Place at ECAC Men's Indoor Track Championships

COLLEGEVILLE, PA - Aldace Fleming (Sr., Ridgefield, CT/Ridgefield) crossed the finish line in 2:37.52 to place fifth in the 1000 meters and lead the Franklin & Marshall College men's indoor track team to a 28th place finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships hosted by Ursinus College.

Fleming accounted for four of the Diplomats nine points at the championship as Franklin & Marshall tied with Ursinus College and Hamilton College for the 28th place position among the championship field's 44 teams.

In other top finishes, the 4X200 relay of Jake Gomolinski (So., Middletown, NY/Pine Bush Central), Brad Kane (Fr., Ardmore, PA/Haverford School), Jon Brallier (Jr., Chambersburg, PA/Mercersburg Academy) and Evan Yeaw (So., Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) finished in 1:33.36 to place eighth for a point, while Zach Barninger (Jr., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern York) cleared 13-11.25 to place 11th in the pole vault.

Freddy Martino (So., Harleysville, PA/Lansdale Catholic) placed seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 43-07.25 to tack on two points and Graham Kincade (Sr., Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) placed 10th in the weight throw with a toss of 45-01.75 to round out the Diplomats performers.
