Gomolinski-Ekel Takes Third in 200-Meter

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall men's track team placed seventh amongst the nine teams at the Centennial Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, which wrapped up Sunday afternoon at Haverford College. Haverford won the men's championship with 168 team points. Franklin & Marshall scored 45 points.

Jake Gomolinski-Ekel garnered a bronze medal in the 200-meter dash. The Diplomat junior crossed in 22.88 behind a pair of Ursinus runners. Brandon Evans won the race in 22.64 seconds, followed by teammate Josh Hannum at 22.87.

Adrian Wilson placed fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.77. Freddy Martino finished sixth in the event with a 12.49. Haverford's Carson Pickens, the meet's outstanding field performer, won the triple jump posting a 13.4-meter effort.

Steven Tracy rounded out the F&M effort with a sixth place finish in the 55-meter dash 6.75. Ursinus' Evans also won that race, clocking a 6.54.
