WESTMINSTER, Md. - Ryan Finch scored the last seven of his team-high 18 points over the final five minutes as his McDaniel Green Terror outlasted Franklin & Marshall for a 78-75 Centennial Conference win over the Diplomats (8-16, 7-10 CC) Thursday evening.

Trailing 62-54 after a pair of Finch free throws, Franklin & Marshall began to chip away at McDaniel's lead with five points in a span of 37 seconds to make it a one-possession game. Despite hitting four treys in the final two minutes the Diplomats were unable to close the gap. A pair of Finch field goals answered two of those threes, each taking the lead back to a pair of possessions. The final of those three pointers, the second off of Logan Outerbridge's hands in the final minute, made it a 74-73 game with 12 seconds left to play.

Andrew McCaffrey quickly fouled Joe Hunter after the Outerbridge three. Hunter made good on the double bonus to take the lead back to three points.

At the top corner of the arc on the following possession, a well-defended Brandon Chasen found Derek Hines for an easy lay-up with four ticks, making it 76-75. A quick foul sent Miguel Jones to the line with 2.4 seconds left. His pair sealed McDaniel's first win in the series since 1998.

The Terror hit 6-of-8 free throws in the final 1:19, and benefited from nine more trips to the line than the Diplomats. McDaniel connected on 21-of-32 free throws, compared to F&M's 14-of-23 effort at the stripe.

Chasen scored 23 points going 7-of-11 from the field. He was 4-of-6 from thee-point range. Hines finished with 19 points, while Outerbridge and Leonard each had 11. Leonard was the game's leading rebounder with nine boards. Ryan Brandenburg added 16 points to the Terror cause.

With the loss, F&M falls to 8-16 (7-10 CC), while McDaniel improved its mark to 11-13 (8-9 CC). F&M closes out its season on Saturday in Baltimore against Johns Hopkins.
