LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall junior Dan Tischler (New York, NY / Horace Mann) was recently named to the America Baseball Coaches Association All-Mid Atlantic Region Second Team. An All-Centennial First Team selection, Tischler was one of six Centennial players to earn the distinction.

Franklin & Marshall's ace posted the nation's 18th best Earned Runs Average in 2007, limiting opposing offenses to 1.74 runs per nine. He compiled a 5-2 record with five saves (ranking 38th in the NCAA) this spring.

In Centennial Conference play, his ERA dropped to 0.23, having allowed a single earned run in 39.0 innings pitched. In his eight conference appearances, he went 4-1 with two saves. All five of his starts went the distance. In addition to his All-Region, and All-Conference nod, Tischler was named to the Centennial's Academic Honor Roll, reserved for starters and key substitutes who maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.4 or higher.

Franklin & Marshall finished the season with a 21-14 record, and in first place in the Centennial Conference at the end of the regular season.
