Fresno, Calif. - Coming off one win and one loss on the first day at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Oklahoma City, both Cory Borges and Greg Gifford bowed out of the tournament Friday, officially ending the year for the Bulldogs. Fresno State finishes the tournament in 54th place.

Greg Gifford, following a win in the first round, lost Thursday to No. 3 seed Ben Wissel and lost a second decision to Raymond Jordan of Missouri to end his tournament run. Gifford ends the year with the best record among the Bulldogs, reaching the 30-win plateau at 30-13. Cory Borges also ended his tournament Friday with a consolation loss to Tanner Gardner of Stanford 12-2.

Both Gifford and Borges will return to the Bulldogs next season, joining fellow qualifiers Cody Parker and Shane Seibert on the 2006-07 team.
