Offense Explodes as Owls Cruise Past Lady Bisons

Sept. 23, 2005

Box Score

NASHVILLE, TN - The offense exploded with 10 goals as the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team flew past conference foe Lipscomb 10-0 on Friday.

Nine different players scored on the night, highlighted by Ashley Mannarino's effort of one goal and four assists. There was also one own goal credited to the Owls.

The Owls fired 40 shots on the night, 21 of them on net. Not to be outshined, the defense held the Lady Bisons to just four attempted shots, two on goal.

FAU's goalkeepers split the game once again, and recorded their fourth-consecutive shutout. Jessica Badders got the start but wasn't required to make a save. Megan Coyne played the second-half and made two stops.

Joining Mannarino on the score sheet were Christina Chang, Monique Cabrera, Michele Fazzari, Autumn Baur, Danielle DiLeo, Beckie Ware, Alicia Tirelli, and Brittany Comer.

The Owls (6-3, 2-0) will stay in Nashville to face Belmont on Sunday. The two teams are set to face-off at 2 p.m.
