Owls Open Season With a Second Place Finish

Daytona Beach, FL -- In its first tournament of the fall season, Florida Atlantic University finished in second-place at the Bethune-Cookman College Invitational with a total team score of 629.

Freshman Praewnapa Phol-Uayporn finished second overall with a total of 150. She shot a 76 in the opening round and a 74 on Saturday to complete the tournament.

The Owls posted a mark of 318 during the opening round on Friday and 311 during round two, for a total of 629.

June Bolme finished the tournament with a score of 157 (80-77). Sandi MacDougall was the second best FAU finisher as she posted a 77 in round one and a 79 in round two to finish with a 156. Freshman Kimberly D'Andrea posted a mark of 167. Anna Claire Daniels shot an 81 during round two to end with a total of 172.

Fiona Brunton of Bethune-Cookman shot 149 to win the tournament.

The Owls will be back in action on Oct. 3 at the GSU Lady Panther Invitational.
