"It was a great effort tonight by Tamica," said FAU head coach Chancellor Dugan. "She hit some big shots for us tonight. Overall, I was proud of the way we were able to make the plays when it counted. It says a lot about the character of this team"

Angie Rodgers and Shontavia Williams both finished with 10 points. Rodgers scored all of her points in the second half.

FAU finished the game shooting 37.2 percent while holding Samford to 29.1 percent. The Lady Owls turned the ball over 20 times and forced Samford into 17 miscues. FAU controlled the boards by a 40-37 margin.
