Defense Dominated Practice

Oct. 18, 2005

BOCA RATON, FL-- Florida Atlantic University returned to the practice field on Tuesday afternoon. FAU will be traveling to Arkansas State on Saturday to battle the Indians.

The Owls' defense shined during scrimmage play as defensive tackle Robert St. Clair batted down two balls at the line of scrimmage. Owls' defensive backs Quincy Skinner and Lawrence Gordon were able to fluster the offense's passing attack.

Freshman wide receiver Frantz Simeon was able to snag three catches during the inter-squad scrimmage and quarterback McKinson Souverain ran for a touchdown.

The Owls' defense will have the task of shutting down the Indians offense that racked up 458 total yards against Louisiana-Lafayette last week FAU comes into Saturday's showdown with the top ranked pass defense in the conference giving up just 166.1 yards per game.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. eastern. Florida Atlantic will hold practice tomorrow at 4 p.m. at the Tom Oxley Athletic fields.
