Booth Wins Runner of the Week Honors

March 20, 2007

Florida Atlantic University's Yanique Booth won Sun Belt Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

It marks the second time in a row that an FAU athlete has won the honor after Brandi Prather won last week. Booth qualified for the NCAA Regional in the 100-meter hurdles for the third straight year by running a 13.56 at the Hurricane Invitational over the weekend.

Booth provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 55-meter hurdles during the indoor season, but ultimately was not invited to take part in the event.

The Owls' next meet begins on Friday when they travel to Orlando for the Disney World Invitational.
