Owls Claim Four Wins At Seminole Twilight Meet
May 8, 2005 Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's track team took titles in four races and notched six more top-five finishes at the Seminole Twilight meet hosted by FSU on Saturday evening. Junior Marilyn Stephens in the 400m, both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams and Raynell Hagberg, running unattached in the 800m, picked up first-place finishes, while senior Helenor Wilson set a new school record in the 400m hurdles that was only .31 seconds outside of the NCAA regional qualifying time. Wilson finished third in a time of 1:01.13, while other top-five finishes came from senior Daquia McCoy (2nd, 24.06) and sophomore Malika Clary (4th, 24.29) in the 200m, sophomore Yanique Booth (4th, 12.04) in the 100m and the 100m hurdles (2nd, 13.76), and junior Lindsay Glover in the 400m hurdles (5th, 1:01.51).
The Owls will take part in their final meet of the regular season next weekend when they head to Atlanta for the Reebok Invitational.
