April 16, 2007 Fayetteville State University freshman sprinter Bobby Wilder captured first place in the 100 meter dash at the Virginia State University CIAA Challenge on April 12. He covered the distant with a time of 10.77. Lucius McRavin covered the 100 meter in 11.76, finishing eighth. The Broncos had 14 sprinters and field men who did well in the invitational track and field meet. In the 200 meter dash, the Broncos had two sprinters to finish in the top 10. Wilder tied for fifth place with a 22.74 and sophomore Terrell Dorsey was seventh with a 23.01. The 400 meter dash saw Alex McKnight, placing fourth and Jonathan Cobb finishing 10th. Knight ran the 400 meter in 51.35 and teammate Cobb finished with a 53.35 time. Fayetteville State entry in the 800 meter run, Ernest Cole, finished seventh, covering the distance in 2:16.66. The 4 x 100 meter "A" relay team outclassed four other teams and finished fourth with a time of 43.16 while the "B" team finished sixth in a respectable time of 44.72. Fayetteville State lone entry in the field events Edward Graham was sixth in the shot put with an 11.07 m toss and third in discus throw with 36.42m toss. 1. Virginia State University - 148.50
