BEVERLY, MA - Alex Pearce (Underhill, VT/Kimball Union) scored two goals and assisted on four others but Curry College rode a late game, ten goal rally to defeat the Gulls, 19-16 on Tuesday afternoon in Beverly.

Endicott took an early 8-2 lead as Commonwealth Coast Conference Co-Rookie of the Week Valerie Feldman (Albany, NY/Guilderland) and Emily Judd (Peabody, MA/Peabody) each notched a pair of goals in the first half.

The Colonels battled back out scoring EC 6-2 in the final ten minutes of the first frame to pull with in two at 10-8 going into the locker room at half time. The Gulls got two quick goals to start off the second half from Feldman and Sara Gunter (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) but Curry launched a ten goal barrage in the final 20-minutes of play to escape with a 19-16 win.

Curry was led by Ashley Sherman who collected a game high 10 points, scoring seven goals and adding three assists. Jessica Nassar and Meghan Tilley also notched hat tricks for the Colonels.

The Gulls were led by Pearce's six points, Feldman also played a solid game scoring three times and adding an assist while Shiori Tachiwana (Kanagawa, Japan) and Sara Gunter also found the net twice. Judd, Hannah Pelletier (Kennebunk, ME/Kennebunk) and Meaghan Mathers (Northampton, MA/Northampton) also tallied three points for EC.

The loss drops the Gulls record to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference, while Curry improves to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the CCC. Endicott returns to action on Thursday when the Gulls travel to Medford, MA to take on the Tufts University Jumbos at 4:30 pm.
