The difference in the game was the Gulls inability to hit shots in the second half, shooting only 25% (8-32) from the floor, 18% (2-11) behind the arc. Compared to Salve's 40% (13-30) from the floor, 32 points in the paint and 15 points off turnovers. The Gulls could not overcome those odds. The Gulls were forced to foul in the last two minutes and once again the Seahawks made the shots hitting 5 in a row and held the Gulls to two points in the final three minutes.
Senior Jen Lockhart (Wakefield, MA) led the team in scoring with 14 points and in steals with 4. Chelsey Gilbert (Windham, ME) was the only other player in double figures with 10 points hitting two 3's and 4-5 from the free throw line. Jenn Grace (Cornish, NH) had the game high in rebounds with 13 boards.
It was a great year for the women with several school team records broken. The team broke the records for consecutive wins (7), three pointers made in a season , blocks in a game and three pointers attempted in a season. The one disappointment is that the program will have to say good bye to five great seniors, to them we wish them luck and thanks for four great years.
