Milowsky Steady at the Point |
Dec. 5, 2003
Standish, ME- A bigger, more confident Monks team out rebounded, out played and out scored the Gulls last night in a 62-45 win. Endicott struggled offensively in the first half scoring only 15 points; digging themselves a hole that was too big to pull out of and giving the Monks a feeling they could do anything. At half time the score was 36-15.
The Monks extended the lead to 47-17 in the second half before the Gulls started playing without intimidation. In the last 15 minutes the Gulls turned it around and out played the Monks going on a 28-15 run. EC attacked going to the foul line 17 times in the second half, but struggled shooting only 41% from the line. The Gulls outscored the Monks 30-26 in the second half.
Sophomore guard Jodi Brown led Endicott scorers with 10 points. All 14 healthy team members saw time on the floor, 10 of whom scored. Senior Morgan Milowsky was steady at the point forcing Monks point guard Brittany Rauscher to 9 turnovers.
The Monks (3-2) were led by senior forward Morgan Brownlee with 17 points and junior guard Megan Tetrault (11 points).
The Gulls (1-3) are home tomorrow, Saturday, in their first conference match up versus Curry College. Tip off time is 3:00.
