Alisha Phipps narrowly missed qualifying for the National Championships

BEVERLY, MA - Sophomore Alisha Phipps finished third in the Walk-Trot-Canter division at the Zone finals hosted by Mt. Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. With the third place finish Phipps fell just short of representing Endicott College at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships. The top two riders in each class at Zones qualify to advance to the National Championship.

The judge put the riders through test after test before being able to make a decision on the placing. Phipps rode very well, making no discernible errors, and any one of the top three riders could have taken home the blue ribbon.

The equestrian team will be wrap up its season by competing at the New England Championships hosted by Dartmouth College on April 14 and then will be volunteering at the National Championships held May 3-6 at the Big E in Springfield, MA.
