Terrance Myers advanced to the NCAA National Championships in the hammer throw

GAINESVILLE, Fla.- East Carolina's Terrance Myers advanced to the NCAA Championships after finishing third in the hammer throw with a mark of 62.87 meters in the first day of the 2007 NCAA East Regionals on the campus of the University of Florida.

Myers will now travel to Sacramento, Calif. to compete in the NCAA National Championships June 6-9.

Neither Brandon Small nor Chris Richardson qualified for the finals of the 400 meter dash. Small turned in a time of 47.40 for 15th place while Richardson was 18th with a time of 48.11.

In addition to the men's 4x400 relay team competing on Saturday, Chelsea Salisbury will be competing in the hammer throw while Camelia Morman will participate in the triple jump.
