Monroeville, Pa. - Duquesne University's women's tennis team lost their final contest of the season as George Washington won the Atlantic 10 Championship Tournament's seventh place match, 4-2, Sunday morning at Club 4 Life in the Pittsburgh suburbs. Junior Jackie Hughes led the Red and Blue, winning at number 2 singles and at number 1 doubles with freshman Rebecca Poole.

The Dukes opened the match up 1-0 with the doubles point as junior Ciara McDermott and freshman Alexandria Albano also won giving DU the 2-1 result.

The Colonials took number three through six singles to secure the four points needed for the victory.
