Dukes Dropped by Temple, 4-1, at A-10s

Monroeville, Pa. - Duquesne's women's tennis team was defeated by Temple, 4-1, Saturday night in the Atlantic 10 Championships at Club 4 Life in the Pittsburgh suburbs.

The Owls won the opening doubles competition for a 1-0 lead. Freshman Rebecca Poole won at #4 singles over Sharanya Pattabi. Pattabi retired after dropping the first set to Poole, 6-1. Temple's wins at number 1, 5 and 6 singles clinched the victory.

Duquesne, the number 5 seed, will meet No. 6 George Washington Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the seventh place match.
