Atlantic 10 Championship Central

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton volleyball team will begin its quest for its fourth straight Atlantic 10 Tournament Championship on Saturday against rival Xavier. The A-10 Semifinal match will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET at UD's own Frericks Center. Fans can follow the match with free streaming video and Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.

The Flyers (21-8) enter as the three-time defending Atlantic 10 Champions and with the top overall seed in the tournament after taking home the 2006 A-10 West Division crown. Xavier (18-11) is the tournament's fourth seed and hopes to ride the momentum of a 3-0 A-10 First Round win over Charlotte into Saturday's semifinal.

UD and XU split a pair of regular season meetings in 2006 with each team winning on its own home court. Dayton beat Xavier, 3-0 on Sept. 29 at Frericks Center while the Musketeers outlasted the Flyers, 3-2 on Oct. 25 in Cincinnati.

Both teams take to the court in the second match of the day at the 25th Annual Atlantic 10 Championships. The 2006 A-10 East Division Champion Temple Owls square off with the third-seeded Saint Louis Billikens at 5 p.m. ET.
