April 9, 2006 Columbus, OH - Six season bests and five career best personal times were achieved for the flyers this weekend at the All-Ohio Championships. Amy Kremer placed fourth in the heptathlon with points totaling to 4029 which is good enough to take the lead in the Atlantic 10 conference. Andrea Cornell also is leading the A-10's with her performance in the 100 meter hurdles (14.73) which earned her seventh place and her career best at the All-Ohio's on Saturday. Kelly Pohlman also is leading the A-10's in the shot put with a throw from an earlier meet in the season. Stacy Chew earned her season best in the 400 meter run with a time of 59.40, placing 10. Ellen Nienhaus and Kate Mone both got career bests in the 1500 meter run with times of 5:05.15 and 5:29.21 respectively. In the 5000 meter run, Sydney Hubbard (18:51.53) and Emily Haas (19:11.73) both received career best times. Jessica Schulte placed eighth in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:09.16. Bridget Kuhel had a season best in the 3000 steeple chase with a time of 12:23.08. Anne Oltman also competed in the 3000 steeple chase finishing seventh (11:54.68). The 4x4 relay team for the Flyers composed of India Moss, Liz Forster, Lisa Aubry, and Stacy Chew, finished third with a time of 4:00.67 which earned them a season best. The 4x1 relay team of Micella Davis, Liz Forster, Kylene Guerra, and Stacia Harold, finished their race with a total time of 50.39 which was good enough for sixth place. In the long jump Stacia Harold had a jump of 17'2.75". Tara Hentgen had a jump of 35'3.75" in the triple jump. Kelly Pohlman placed fourth in the shot put and eighth in the discus with distances of 46'8" and 132'5" respectively. They Flyers placed seventh out of 13 Ohio teams this weekend at the All-Ohio Championships. The next meet for the Flyers is on Saturday, April 22 in Louisville, KY, at the Cardinal Invitational. |
