DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton softball team ends its home portion of the season on Saturday in an Atlantic 10 doubleheader against Charlotte at UD Softball Stadium. The Flyers and 49ers will meet in back-to-back games starting at 12 p.m. as Dayton honors its five seniors in the last home games of the year. Dayton will honor seniors Sheena Rothwell, Tamsyn Kellough, Lauren Schneider, Ellie Malchow and Chelsea Grozenski in festivities that will take place before the noon pitch.

UD enters the two-game series 11-26 overall and 3-12 in the conference. Charlotte is 30-21 and 6-7 in the A-10.The Flyers are coming off a pair of losses at Fordham on Sunday as UD dropped game one 4-0, and lost game two, 6-0.

Junior Christine Eggers is one of two Flyers to start and play in all games so far this season. Against Fordham she went 1-for-3. She leads the team in runs (20) and is second in hits (34).Teammate Mollie Schrank sits atop the list with 35 hits this season and is tied for second in runs (15) posting a .324 batting average.

Freshman Molly Meyer is batting .333 with a .347 slugging percentage. She has collected 25 hits, 15 runs and three RBI on the season and is 8-for-8 in stolen base pct.

Rothwell and Blair Crabtree are tied for first with three homeruns each. Rothwell posts a .305 batting average and has collected 10 runs and 25 hits including five doubles. Crabtree, who has also started all 37 games leads the team with her 19 RBI and has added 15 runs for UD.

Following this weekend, Dayton will hit the road to take on Ohio in non-conference action on Monday, May 7 concluding the 2007 season in Athens, Ohio. The Flyers will face the Bobcats in a twinbill slated to begin at 2 p.m. ET.
