Directions | Cumulative Statistics Dayton's softball team will travel to Pittsburgh, PA, to take on Robert Morris Thursday, March 24th. Dayton is hitting .243 as a team with 37 RBI through its first 11 games. UD is coming off a weekend of three doubleheaders, splitting all three with one win each over Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee State and Belmont. The Flyers are now 5-6 on the season. Leading the offense for Dayton, Cassie Gross is batting .421 and has an .816 slugging percentage. With four homeruns on the season, three of which were hit this weekend against Lipscomb, Gross has moved into a tie for second place all-time in school history with 11 homeruns for her career and moves from ninth to fifth in runs batted in with 58. Melissa Myher leads UD in pitching with an ERA of 3.02 and a 4-2 record. Myher has started six games for Dayton and has struck out 24 in 41.2 innings pitched. She leads the team in ERA, strikeouts, and innings pitched. After facing the Colonials on Thurday, Dayton will return home to play their first game ever at UD Arena Softball Stadium on Saturday, March 26. UD will take on Massachusetts in the Atlantic 10 opener at 1:00 p.m. |
