PHILADELPHIA - University of Dayton freshman forward Caitlin Proffitt was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week on Monday after leading UD to pair of road wins over the weekend against conference foes.

The Cincinnati native tallied her second game-winning goal of the season last Friday as the Flyers posted a 3-1 win at Massachusetts. Proffitt added her fourth goal of the season in UD's 2-0 victory over Rhode Island on Sunday.

A graduate of St. Ursula High School, Proffitt leads the team with nine points on the season including a team-high four goals and one assist.

The first-place Flyers (5-3-3, 3-0-0 A-10) return home this weekend to host a pair of Atlantic 10 Conference matches during its Alumni weekend. Dayton takes on Duquesne Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET. UD then faces Saint Louis Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET.
