A native of suburban Cincinnati, Palumbo was a defensive recruit whose work ethic both on and off the field will be valuable in the Flyers' talented and experienced backfield.
Senior (2005)
Palumbo saw action in 19 games, starting 16 as a Flyer defender...Although she didn't tally any points on the season, her senior leadership and hard-nosed play helped anchor a defense that allowed less then one game per game...She launched six shots on the season, with three of them finding their way to the net.
Junior (2004)
Continued the momentum from her impressive sophomore campaign, Palumbo came into the fall in great shape and it paid off...she appeared in 20 matches and made a career-high 18 starts...scored two goals and added three assists for seven points...recorded her first career game-winning goal in a 2-1 win over ACC-member Virginia Tech in the Ohio State Invitational...also had an assist against the Hokies for her first career three-point game...her other goal also came in the Ohio State Invitational on a penalty kick as UD beat LSU 3-0...recorded assists against Oakland and Butler.
Sophomore (2003)
Made two starts and appeared in 21 matches...played both in the midfield and on defense...scored her first collegiate goal in the Flyers' 3-0 win over Marshall...posted her first career assist in an Atlantic 10 victory over Temple...took eight shots.
Freshman (2002)
Appeared in six matches...took one shot.
High School / Club
Enjoyed a successful career at Fairfield, although missing her senior season due to injury...the sweeper was First Team All-Butler County, Second Team All-Greater Miami Conference and the team's Most Valuable Defensive Player in 1999 and 2000...tallied eight goals and 15 assists for her career.
