Oct. 23, 2006 CLARKSVILLE, TN - The Dayton Women's golf team got off to a slow start in their sixth tournament of the Fall season. The Flyers look to improve on their 13th place standing tomorrow at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate. Freshman Katie Dempsey led the team shooting a 43 on the front nine and 41 on the back nine to finish with a combined score of 84. The score was good enough to land Dempsey in a tie for 23rd place. Freshman Casey Peterson and Cari DeAngelis finished with a 91 and 93 respectively. Peterson ended in a tie for 60th and DeAngelis placed 65th. In a tie for 71st place was freshman Paige Smith totaling a 98 and one stroke behind her was fellow freshman Katie Gallagher. Final round play begins Tuesday morning in Clarksville, TN. |
