MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY CONCLUDES SPRING SEASON AT WILMINGTON INVITATIONAL



Contreras finished placed third at the Wimington College Invitational 5000m event.

Results

WILMINGTON, OH - The Men's Cross Country team's spring track season ended with eight runners crossing the 5000 meter finish line at the Wilmington College Invitational.

Junior Eric Contreras (15:43), Freshman Matt Peters (15:56), and Sophomore Daniel Sammons (16:14) led the way for the Flyers, placing 3rd, 4th, and 6th, respectively, out of a field of 28 finishers.

Personal Best times were set by Freshman Mike Peters (16:48.5), Junior Tony Holtvoigt (16:48.9), and Sophomore Dan Thompson (17:38).

Also competing were Sophomore Eriksen VanEtten (17:22) and Junior Adam Miller (17:30).

The 2006 Fall Cross Country season will open Saturday, September 2, when the Flyers host the Flyer 5K Challenge at Kettering's Indian Ripple Park.
