DAYTON OUTDISTANCES 22 RUNNERS IN 1500 METER RUN AT MIAMI INVITE

DAYTON, Ohio - Matt Peters and Daniel Sammons finished in the Top 20 in the 1500 meter run on Saturday as the University of Dayton men's cross country team traveled to Oxford, Ohio to compete in the 22nd annual Miami Invitational. Peters recorded the highest individual finish for Dayton placing 13th in a time of 4:05.99 and Sammons (4:06.35) finished in 14th as the two outdistanced 22 runners in the event.

Dayton competed in only two events at the team's third outdoor meet of the year. In addition to the 1500 meter run, the Flyers also competed in the 5000 meter. Billy Przybyla (15:59.76) and Brad Boyd (16:06.72) placed 20th and 21st respectively in the event, while fellow teammate Michael Connolly crossed the line at 16:37.11.

Dayton will return to action on April 21 at the All-Ohio Championships. The Flyers will travel south to Cincinnati for the team's last outdoor meet of the year.
