Sept. 18, 2006 DAYTON, Ohio - Dayton (4-4) and Wright State (6-2) will battle for more than local bragging rights Friday, Sept. 22, at UD's Baujan Field. Dayton owns a seven-game unbeaten streak over the Raiders and both teams will be looking to stay on their respective region's radar screens. The UD-Wright State game follows the UD women's Atlantic 10 opener with conference rival Xavier that starts at 5:30 p.m. Wright State is ranked ninth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Great Lakes Region Top 10. UD is ranked ninth in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Top 10. UD pushed No. 1 SMU to the limit before losing 1-0. The Flyers posted the most shots of any SMU opponent and held the Mustangs to the fewest shots on goal in a game, so far, this season. AAA will give away four tickets to NASCAR's Ford Championship Weekend Nov. 18-19 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Tickets are good for the Busch and Nextel series championship races plus food and non-alcoholic beverages. NASCAR and soccer fans also can experience Mark Martin's AAA No. 6 Ford Fusion show car and a virtual NASCAR simulator from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. The life-sized replica of the car Martin drives in NEXTEL Cup races and the NASCAR simulator are free and open to the public. However, the simulator is open only to anyone having a valid driver's license or college ID. Game tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for college students with ID and younger. One ticket is good for both games. Groups and soccer teams that pre-register by calling 937-229-4861 can purchase adult tickets for $3 and youth tickets for $1 Notes: Ryan Hefley, Ryan Handbury and Tyler Imbrogno made the all-tournament team this past weekend at the University of New Mexico's TLC Plumbing and Utility Invite...Wright State and UD have played Bowling Green and IUPUI this year. UD beat the Falcons 2-0 in an exhibition match. The Raiders beat Bowling Green 4-1 Sunday. UD blasted IUPUI 4-0 while Wright State needed overtime to beat IUPUI 2-1 Tuesday.
