DAYTON, Ohio - Dayton ended its seven-game winless streak with a 1-0 win over LaSalle Sunday in Philadelphia.

Freshman defender Ryan Handbury nailed a penalty kick in the 35th minute. It was his first career goal.

Nick Tarkany, a senior from Miamisburg, saved six LaSalle shots on goal, including five in the second half. Tarkany nabbed a potential game-tying goal in the final minute.

The Flyers improve to 5-9-1 overall, 1-5-1 in the Atlantic 10 conference. LaSalle falls to 6-9-2 overall, 2-5-1 in the A-10.
