AT DAYTON: In 2005, Heyne succeeded All-American Jason Resch as UD's placekicker, after lettering in 2004 as a kickoff specialist. Heyne played in all ten games last year, making four field goals in 11 attempts. Heyne was named Second Team All-PFL in 2005. He is a two-time member of the Pioneer Football League's Academic Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Son of Dean and Mindy Heyne...Born on January 6, 1985...Majoring in Mechanical Engineering...While at Alter High, he was an all-state kicker. He joined the Flyers in the spring of 2004 after first attending Kent State.
