The Flyers conclude their regular season schedule and try to improve their seeding for the Atlantic 10 Championships with a three-game conference series at home against Richmond.

Dayton still has a chance to win the A-10 West Division, but with one more win it would be assured of a #4 or #5 seed and a berth in the Opening Game of the Tournament next Wednesday at noon at Dragons Stadium.

Bryan Chandler capped a six-run eighth inning rally with his second grand slam of the season Tuesday as Dayton beat Otterbein 7-5. Chandler is now tied for the team lead in homers with seven while hitting .342 17 XBH and 44 RBI.

Craig Stammen enters the series with 175 career strikeouts, the third most in school history. He needs just five to move into second place and nine to break the program record of 184. Stammen has a 7-6 record with 67 strikeouts this year. He will pitch the opener of the series which is scheduled for noon Thursday.

UD's winningest pitcher Luke Trubee will follow in game two. He has an A-10 best 11-2 record this season, which is tied for the second most wins of any pitcher in the nation. Trubee also leads the A-10 in innings pitched (93.1 IP) and is tied with Stammen for fourth in the conference in ERA (2.70).

Southpaw Kaleb Thompson will start for the second time this week as the series wraps up Friday at noon. Thompson, who last appeared Monday at Xavier, is 5-4 with a 4.55 ERA this year. He has struck out 40 batters in 61.1 innings pitched.

Although there will be no live audio for the series, fans can follow the action live with GameTracker on www.DaytonFlyers.com
