Two teams play to keep their postseason hopes alive this weekend as Dayton travels to La Salle for a three-game Atlantic 10 baseball series. The Flyers and Explorers will play on Friday (4 p.m. ET), Saturday (1 p.m. ET) and Sunday (Noon ET) in contests that can be followed with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.

Both UD and LU enter the weekend tied for 11th place in the Atlantic 10 standings at 6-12 in Conference play. The teams are 3 1/2 games back of St. Bonaventure for the sixth and final spot in the 2007 A-10 Baseball Championships, which will be held at Fifth Third Field in Dayton on May 23-26. The Flyers are looking to make a third-straight A-10 postseason appearance for the first time in program history. UD has qualified for the tournament in back-to-back seasons twice (2000 &2001, 2005 & 2006). The Flyers close out their conference schedule with three-game series against George Washington (home) and Saint Louis (road).

Last season, Dayton and La Salle played in three pitchers' duels to open their Atlantic 10 Conference seasons. LU won the first and third games of the series by identical 3-0 scores while UD took the middle game, 1-0. Overall, the Flyer pitching staff recorded 31 strikeouts while holding the Explorers to a .170 team batting average in the three-game series.

Following this weekend's series, Dayton remains on the road to face Ohio in non-conference action on Tuesday. First pitch from Athens is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and can be followed with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com. UD will then return to Time Warner Cable Stadium to close out the home portion of its schedule against GW on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday's game will also be designated as Senior Day for the nine Flyers that will conclude their careers this year.
