2007 NCAA Outdoor Championships Live Results

The Northridge women's 4x100 relay team will be the first to compete on Wednesday as Deanna Goodwin, Shauna Hackett, Julie Eze and Dominique Calvin attempt to advance out of the semifinal round. Freshmen Sherrina Lofton and Shelese Ruffin are the alternates for the relay, which is scheduled for 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday. The Matadors come in with the 19th-best time in the 4x100 relay at 44.96 set at the Big West Championships in May.

Juniors DaShalle Andrews and Rolando Felizola will compete next on Wednesday as the men's long jump competion opens at 4 p.m. Andrews, who is making his third trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, is ranked 14th in the long jump with a lifetime-best mark of 25-4.75 (7.74) set when he claimed the 2007 Big West Championship in that event. Felizola, the Big West runner-up to Andrews in both the long jump and triple jump, is the 22nd-ranked long jumper with a career-best mark of 24-10 (7.57) which was third at the NCAA West Regional in Oregon two weeks ago.

Junior Terry Ross and senior Deanna Goodwin will also open their individual competition on Wednesday as Ross opens round one of the men's 110 meter hurdles at 5:20 p.m. and Goodwin opens round one of the 400 meters at 6:20 p.m. Ross, the 2007 Big West 110 hurdles champion, is ranked 15th after running 13.78 to place second at the NCAA West Regional in Oregon. Ross' time is a Northridge record eclipsing teammate Anthony Brown's time of 13.81 set in 2006. Goodwin became the first Northridge athlete to win an NCAA Regional event when she ran 53.56 to defeat the field in the 400 meters at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field. Goodwin's time in Oregon was off her season-best time of 52.92 which broke the Cal State Northridge record on Apr. 13 at UCLA. She is ranked 20th among 29 (400 meter) sprinters.

Andrews and Felizola will also represent Northridge in the triple jump which gets underway on Friday at 1:45 p.m. Andrews is ranked 22nd with a career-best distance of 51-7.25 (15.73), which also earned him a conference championship. Felizola qualified 12th in the triple jump with a career-best mark of 52-2.75 (15.92) set on Apr. 28 at the Steve Scott Invitational in Irvine.
