Women's Basketball Gets Two Committments During Early Signing Period

Nov. 22, 2005

FULLERTON, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's basketball program has signed Danielle Parker from Lemoore, Calif., and Sarah de Tuboly of San Francisco, Calif., to National Letters of Intent to play for the Titans beginning in the 2006-07 season Head Coach Dr. Maryalyce Jeremiah announced.

Parker, a six-foot forward/center, is currently entering her senior season at Lemoore HS in California's Central Valley where she helped lead the Tigers to a 20-11 overall record and a second-place finish in the West Yosemite League as a junior.

She averaged 15.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game last season - both totals ranking third in the league - and tallied a league-best 94 blocks. Parker is a three-time All-WYL selection and the team's Defensive MVP as a freshman while averaging better than 10 ppg in her first two prep seasons - including 16 points per game as a sophomore.

de Tuboly, a 6-foot-4 post player, is also entering her senior year at Mercy HS in San Francisco, where she helped lead the Skippers to a 22-6 overall record and a 10-2 mark in the West Bay Athletic League for second place.

As a junior, de Tuboly averaged just 2.8 ppg, but led the league with 59 blocks and ranked eighth in the league in rebounds (137) on the season. She was named to the All-West Bay Athletic League Honorable Mention squad for her efforts.
