Two Basketball Players Earn Academic Honors

April 3, 2007

Irvine, Calif. - Juniors Alison Bennett of the women's basketball team and Chris Minardo from the men's squad represent Cal State Fullerton on the 2006-07 Academic All-Big West Conference teams for winter sports.

To be eligible for the all-academic team, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, have attained at least sophomore standing academically and have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.

Bennett, a 6-foot forward from Nordhoff High School and Ojai, California, is a kinesiology major. Minardo, a 6-foot-10 forward from Chino Hills, Ayala High School and Citrus College, is a business administration major.
