RENO, NV - Host Nevada had four starters in double figures and shot just under 57 percent from the field for the game as the Wolf Pack handed visiting Cal State Fullerton an, 82-57, defeat on Sunday afternoon at the Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nev.

The loss for the Titans is the sixth in a row as they fell to 1-7 overall on the year. Nevada improved to 7-3 overall on the season with the victory.

Freshman Lauren Chow, who had been held to just nine total points in her previous two games, led Fullerton with 14 points - all in the first half - and four steals.

She was joined in double figures by junior Toni Thomas, who added 12 points and eight rebounds, and freshman Ashley Richie, who scored in double figures for the fifth straight game, netting 10 points on the afternoon.

Cherlanda Franklin led the Wolf Pack with 14 points and was joined in double figures by four other teammates. Shavon Moore had 11 points and five rebounds while Mikail Price, Dellena Criner, and Johnna Ward each had 10 points apiece.

Back-to-back buckets by Thomas to start the game gave the Titans the early lead, but that advantage would quickly disappear as an 18-0 run by the Wolf Pack over the next six minutes gave the home team a 16-point, 20-4 lead with 12:42 remaining in the first half.

A three-point play by freshman Lyndsey Grove would snap the Titans' scoring slump, but only briefly as another extended run (9-0) by Nevada gave it a 22 point lead with just under 10 minutes to play in the opening period.

The Wolf Pack would lead by as many as 23 points in the period before Fullerton began to chip away, as the offense caught fire.

Chow hit three consecutive three-pointers to ignite a 21-8 run by Fullerton to close out the half, finishing with 11 points in the run as the Titans closed to within 10 points at 41-31 at the break.

However, that would be as close as Fullerton would get as Nevada opened the second half of play with a 15-4 run over the first five minutes to build a 21-point advantage and the Wolf Pack never looked back.

Nevada, which shot 54 percent from the field in the second half, led by as many as 27 points on two different occasions en route to the win. The Wolf Pack held a 40-29 advantage on the boards.

Cal State Fullerton looks to rebound back within the friendly confines of Titan Gym next weekend as the Titans play their first home game in almost a month, welcoming San Diego to Orange County on Friday evening (Dec. 21) at 7 p.m.
