Sauer Loses to Div. II National Champion

Nov. 20, 2007

Eugene, Oregon - Defending Div. II national champion and No. 1-seeded Tervel Dlagnev of Nebraska-Kearney decisioned Cal State Fullerton's Wade Sauer, 11-7, in the heavyweight match of the NWCA All-Star Classic Monday night before a crowd of more than 4,000 at McArthur Court on the campus of the University of Oregon.

It was the highest scoring match of the evening, where all the No. 1 seeds prevailed.

Sauer, who is ranked No. 3 in the nation in Div. I, is the first Titan wrestler ever invited to the classic, which matches the nation's top wrestlers. Fullerton Coach Dan Hicks, an Oregon State alum, twice appeared and won in the event.
