CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior Sarah Galon has been named Horizon League Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. The league office made the announcement on Tuesday (April 17).

Galon keyed Cleveland State's wins at UW-Milwaukee and UW-Green Bay last weekend with two wins at No. 1 singles and a pair of victories with No. 1 doubles partner freshman Denisa Muntean. She defeated UW-Milwaukee's Kelly Drvaric 6-4, 6-4 to help the Vikings to a 7-0 win on Friday and followed that with a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win in CSU's 6-1 victory over UW-Green Bay on Saturday.

"Sarah got had some close matches against some tough competition but found a way to win," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "And she and Denisa played very well in doubles. I'm very excited about the way Sarah and the team is playing at the end of the season."

Galon has won the weekly honor six times in her career.

Cleveland State (13-9, 4-1 HL) conclude the regular season with home matches versus Butler on Saturday (April 21) and Detroit on Sunday at the Malaga Tennis Center.
