Oct. 24, 2003

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Sarah Galon and Morgan Ungerott earned a split of their doubles matches on Friday at the ITA Tennis Regional in Kalamazoo, Mich. The pair dropped their opening match, but rallied to pick up a win in the consolation round.

Galon and Ungerott fell to Ohio State's Lindsey Adams and Meaghan Colville in the opening round, 8-1, but rallied in the evening session to defeat IPFW's Lisa Bartelheim and Jessica Vervynckt, 8-3. The win gave the Vikings an overall record on the weekend of 2-2, including Galon's split in the singles bracket on Thursday.

The women's team will resume play on Feb. 1, 2004, when they host Toledo at the River Oaks Racquet Club in Rocky River, Ohio. The Toledo match is slated to begin at noon.
