Galon Splits Singles Matches At ITA Regional

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Freshman Sarah Galon split her two matches at the ITA Midwest Regional tournament on Thursday in Kalamazoo, Mich. Galon dropped her opening match but rallied to win a consolation match later in the afternoon.

Galon opened against Marquette's Veronica Brisen, who was seeded in the tournament, and fell, 6-2, 6-0. She rebounded in the consolation round, picking up a win over Becky Brunner of Eastern Illinois, winning 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.

Galon and Morgan Ungerott will begin their run in the doubles bracket on Friday, taking on unseeded Lindsey Adams and Meaghan Colville from Ohio State.
