EAST LANSING, Mich. - Seniors Sarah Galon and Morgan Ungerott lost in the first and second rounds of the doubles draw to conclude the women's tennis fall season on Friday (Oct. 20) on Michigan State's campus.

In the first round, Galon and Ungerott lost a close battle to Michelle Hawes and Chelsey Casperson of Butler, 9-7, after holding an early lead in the match.

"It was unfortunate because we were leading early, but the team from Butler picked up their game," CSU assistant coach David Howell said. "We just couldn't match them."

CSU's two seniors were then eliminated with an 8-4 loss to Illinois' Shivani Dave and Alejandra Meza Cuadra.

The Viking women are done with the fall portion of the schedule and will resume play at Michigan State on Jan. 19.
