The Cleveland State women's golfers hosted the first ever Cleveland State Women's Golf Intercollegiate at Legend Lake Golf Club. The Viking women's golf team is in its second year of existence and the 36-hole stroke play tournament marked the first of its kind in school history.

As a team, CSU carded a two-day total of 426-433---859 for a fifth-place finish in the tournament.

The Vikings were paced by Nancy Bowling (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lebanon), who finished 20th individually with a score of 101-99---200. Jen Varhola (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) followed Bowling in the standings, carding a 100-108---208 for 21st place, while Marlayna Jacinto (Amherst, Ohio/Marion L. Steele) finished in 22nd with a 103-107---210.

Butler University took the team title by shooting a 329-318---647, 31 strokes better than runner-up Loyola (349-329---678). The Bulldogs were led by individual medalist Melanie Macleod, who posted a 78-79---157 to edge out a second-place tie by one shot.
